Terms of use

Draft for beta · Last updated 3 September 2026

This is a working draft written alongside the product, not legal advice. It must be reviewed by a lawyer before Craftly takes live orders.

What Craftly is

Craftly provides software that lets an independent seller publish a storefront, list what they make, and receive orders. Each seller runs their own business. Craftly is not the seller, does not own or hold any of the goods listed, and is not a party to the sale.

How payment works

Craftly never receives, holds, routes or settles your money. At checkout you pay the seller’s own UPI ID directly from your own UPI app. The transfer is between your bank and theirs. Craftly records that you say you have paid, and shows the seller the proof you upload, so that they can confirm the order.

Because no funds pass through Craftly, Craftly cannot reverse a payment, issue a refund, or act as an escrow. A refund is a matter between you and the seller.

Who is responsible for what

The seller is responsible for

  • the accuracy of their listings, prices and stock;
  • the quality, safety and legality of what they sell;
  • dispatching orders and handling returns under their own policy;
  • their own tax obligations, including GST where it applies.

Craftly is responsible for

  • keeping the service available and your data secure;
  • presenting a seller’s listings accurately as they entered them;
  • removing listings that breach these terms when we are told about them.

Using the service

You agree not to:

  • list anything illegal, counterfeit, or that you do not have the right to sell;
  • impersonate another person, business or brand, including in your shop name;
  • submit a payment proof you know to be false;
  • attempt to access another seller’s or buyer’s data.

We may suspend a shop that breaches these terms. Where we do, the seller keeps access to their order history so they can fulfil orders already placed.

Your shop link

A shop link is yours for as long as your shop is open. It cannot be changed once you have taken your first order, because buyers and search engines rely on it. We may reclaim a link that impersonates someone else.

Disputes

A dispute about an order — goods not received, not as described, or a refund — is between the buyer and the seller. Craftly will provide the order record, including timestamps and the payment reference, to either party on request. We are not able to adjudicate the dispute or move money.

Ending your use

You may close your shop at any time. Doing so hides your listings immediately; your order records are retained for the period set out in the privacy policy so that both sides keep a record of past sales.

Changes

We will tell sellers by SMS before these terms change in a way that materially affects them.
